Une conférence mettant en avant différentes figures afro-féministes.
Un grand merci et bravo à nos collègues du Collectif des Rosas pour leur dynamisme et leur fabuleux effort de permettre aux afro-descendants de France de se réunir à Marseille ce samedi 10 et lundi 11 mars 2018 pour une 4ème édition des Assises contre la Négrophobie et pour une volonté de fédérer et d'explorer l'histoire de la femme noire et sa place dans la société actuelle et pour l'invitation à participer et rejoindre ce mouvement, ainsi que de promouvoir la campagne #iamnot4sale.
Nous étions ravis de pouvoir connecter Slavery Remembrance et la fondatrice de cette organisation pour la promotion de la journée internationale de mémoire de l'holocauste africain, Shezal Laing.
Une prochaine collaboration pour un concert #iamnot4salemarseille est en cours - Ã suivre!!!

We were so impressed yesterday by the conference chaired by Dr Seraphin Kamdem, at the School of Oriental and African Studies SOAS, retracing Thomas Sankara Legacy and seeing a powerful monologue of Sankara performed by the lead actor Ike Chuks.

Poète et musicien, il est passioné de fabrication d'instruments de musique artisanale et joue lui-même du Kamelen'goni, instrument d'Afrique de l'Ouest, parent de la Kora et du Kolondjo.

Nous avons adoré le groupe de chant Maloya avec la soloiste Sandra. Son ami (sur la photo ainsi qu'une fan de Maloya qui tenait à nous saluer), est originaire de la Guadeloupe et amateur de Gwo-Ka. Il nous dit beaucoup apprécié les rythmes ternaires de cette musique, qui le ramène au chant ancestral des esclaves noirs.
Il est lui même artiste chanteur du nom de scène K-meleon, du groupe de Hip Hop La méthode.

Cécile Emeke est une artiste, écrivaine et réalisatrice britannique connue, entre autre, pour la série documentaire Strolling produite en websérie sur Youtube. Cécile se balade dans les rues de Londres avec des hommes et femmes noires et discutent de divers sujets tels que la sexualité, l'identité, la culture populaire. Elle appliquera le même concept pour les diasporas noires dans d'autres pays tels que la France, la Hollande, l'Italie.
